Weather Forecasts

The weather in the British mountains can change suddenly and dramatically. Always make sure you have considered the forecast weather conditions before venturing out on the hills. Here you will find several websites which provide weather forecasts for the UK. Some are specifically for mountain regions, whilst others are more general but still give good information on what to expect when venturing out.

The Mountain Weather Information Service (MWIS) produce weather forecasts for 8 different mountain areas across the UK, and is updated daily. Follow the link to the website, where forecasts can be downloaded in PDF format.
